[Ended] The Kingdom of Jarl

This D&D 3.5 campaign ran for over four years and saw the characters progress from first to about sixteenth level.

Two characters made it all the way through:
Chang the monk (Marvin) - an ugly man with terrible social skills and a penchant for jumping on the back of whatever monster they encountered.
Holly the rogue (Diane) - self appointed 'treasurer' and leader of the party, she was a halfling with VERY deep pockets.
The others who were there at the end:
Gilruin the scout (Kris) - he could never decide if he was an archer or a swordsman, but in the end he was the one who defeated the demon lord.
Magma the psychic warrior (Chris) - a half-giant warrior. Sadly, Chris's other character, Badok the Wizard/Druid did not make it, but was fondly remembered ("he was the best of us")
Oxy the mage (Andy) - a necromancer with a flying carpet who's ambition was to build his own necropolis.
Filbert the barbarian (Sarah) - a halfling barbarian who was reanimated after spending 200 years being a statue.
Ashoka the druid (James) - a late entry, she was known for being a 'professional druid'.

The characters were brought together as each had a 'dark mark' and had been visited in their dreams by a white bearded old man. They found the old wizard in a tower hidden by illusion, and he set them on a quest to find four rings and wands of power, which he said would end the dark plague. Their journey took them all around the continent and they were aided by 'The Bard' - an old thespian with a magical mirror. They delved in to the depths of the storm giant's sewer, met a dragon in a lake, raided a palace of ice and battled frost giants and hags. In the dungeons of the Drow they encountered mind flayers and aboleths. In the Dwarven realm they fought demons and dragons and learned of a prophecy. Later, in the desert, they fought through a pyramid filled with undead and encountered the Yuan-ti. As the dark plague zombies began to take hold they wrested the final artefact from the fire giant king. Returning to the wizard it transpired that he had been tricked by a demon lord who was responsible for the plague. Our heroes found the tomb of the ancient warrior, retrieved a magical sword and armour, and were able to defeat the demon lord Necrax.

Fifty years later, we are returning to the KIngdom of Jarl with a new group of heroes....
